10<\/td>\n“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
11<\/td>\nThe Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, `God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
12<\/td>\nI fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I get.’<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
13<\/td>\nBut the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, `God, be merciful to me a sinner!’<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
14<\/td>\nI tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\nJesus is Arrested<\/h1>\n

But, O Sweet Jesus, my Good, what a touching scene I see!\u00a0 You first meet the perfidious Judas, who, drawing near You and throwing his arms around Your neck, greets You and kisses You.\u00a0 And You, Most Passionate Love, do not disdain to Kiss those infernal lips; You embrace him and press him to Your Heart, wanting to snatch him from hell, and giving him signs of New Love.\u00a0 My Jesus, how is it possible not to Love You?\u00a0 The tenderness of Your Love is such that it should snatch every heart to Love You; yet, they do not Love You!\u00a0 And You, O my Jesus, in bearing this kiss of Judas, repair for the betrayals, the pretenses, the deceptions under the aspect of friendship and sanctity, especially of Priests.\u00a0 Your Kiss, then, shows that, not to one sinner, provided that he comes humbled before You, would You refuse Your Forgiveness.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
