72.\u00a0 To Mother Cecilia<\/b><\/p>\n

In Voluntate Dei!<\/b><\/p>\n

My good and reverend Mother,<\/p>\n

(\u2026)\u00a0Now I feel the need to send you my Easter wishes.\u00a0<\/span> My Mother, what wish can I send you?\u00a0 I know that crosses surround you; how many times you have to swallow bitter pills, that make your heart bleed.\u00a0 It seems to me that dear Jesus surrounds you with these pains in order to give you strength, and with tender and loving voice, He says to you:\u00a0\u00a0\u201cMy daughter, give these pains to Me, that they may form my arms, my heart, my steps \u2013 my whole Life, to be able to live within you.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>My Mother, it is the crosses, the sufferings united to the Divine Volition, that form the raw material in order to receive in us the life of Jesus, Who calls our littleness to live in Him and to rise in Him.<\/p>\n

Here is my wish,<\/span> my Mother:\u00a0\u00a0to rise not only on Easter, but continually in Jesus; so that every pain and each one of our acts, may be the means in order to rise in the One Who loves us so much.\u00a0 I believe I could not send you a more beautiful wish; and I believe you will appreciate it, more so, under the rain of unheard-of crosses and of profound<\/span> humiliations.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0The storms give no sign of ceasing.\u00a0 Pray that He will make peace rise again from the storms, otherwise one cannot live.<\/p>\n

My sister tells you many things and sends you her affectionate wishes.\u00a0 In a special way,\u00a0I send my wishes\u00a0<\/span>to Sister Remigia,\u00a0that she may form her perfect resurrection in the Divine Will, and use every act does in order to grow in sanctity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>We must be convinced that not the great things make us saints, but the little ones, which\u00a0we have in our power and which serve as the nourishment of sanctity.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>I commend myself to your prayers, and leaving you rising together with Jesus, I kiss your right hand and with a thousand regards, united to my sister, I say,<\/p>\n

My good daughter in Jesus Christ,<\/p>\n

Do not get discouraged, never lose trust.\u00a0 What I recommend is that you\u00a0look at your crosses as many visits from Jesus,<\/span> Who\u00a0brings you the life of the Divine Will,<\/span> to\u00a0make It reign<\/span> in you\u00a0and\u00a0to give you all His love as food;<\/span> to make\u00a0you grow in His likeness within His arms,<\/span> and\u00a0to make of you such a rare beauty as to enrapture even Himself.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0If you do the Will of God,\u00a0you will feel a strength in all your sufferings;\u00a0<\/span>you will feel\u00a0an invisible hand which helps you,\u00a0guides you,<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0does whatever you do within you.<\/span>\u00a0 In fact, when one does the Will of God,\u00a0the work is more of God than ours.<\/span>\u00a0 Therefore, I wouldn\u2019t know what else to say:\u00a0\u00a0do the Divine Will; live in It,<\/span> and\u00a0you can be sure that you will make yourself a saint.\u00a0\u00a0You will feel the bond and the association with the Divine Family.\u00a0<\/span> What is Theirs will be yours.\u00a0<\/span> So, banish fear and fright, and all the most painful circumstances will bring you the kiss, the strength \u2013 the life of the Divine Will, embalmed by Its love and joy.<\/p>\n

Tell good Carmela to have patience.\u00a0 Jesus loves her so much that He looks at her continuously, and with the brush of sufferings in His hands, He paints her, to make of her\u00a0a more beautiful image,<\/span> so that she\u00a0may be like Him.<\/span><\/p>\n

I send you my wishes of good Easter:\u00a0\u00a0let the Divine Will rise again in you.\u00a0 I leave you in the Divine Volition to make yourself a saint, that the earth may no longer be earth for you, but Heaven.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pray for me.\u00a0 And greeting you from my heart, I say,<\/span><\/p>\n

1865 – Luisa Piccarreta was born on April 23,\u00a0the Sunday after Easter,<\/span><\/strong> in Corato, Bari, to Nicola Vito and Rosa Tarantino, who had five daughters: Maria, Rachele, Filomena, Luisa and Angela.<\/p>\n

A few hours after Luisa\u2019s birth, her father wrapped her in a blanket and took her to the main church for baptism. Her mother had not suffered the pangs of labor: her birth was painless.<\/p>\n

1872 – She received Jesus in the Eucharist on<\/span>\u00a0the Sunday after Easter,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>and the sacrament of Confirmation was administered to her on that same day by Archbishop Giuseppe Bianchi Dottula of Trani.<\/p>\n
