Book of Heaven – Volume 2; February 28, 1899*<\/b><\/p>\n

By order of the confessor I begin to write what passes between me and our Lord, day by day.\u00a0 <\/span>Year 1899, month of February, day 28.<\/p>\n

I confess the truth, I feel great repugnance; the effort I have to make in order to conquer myself is so great, that only the Lord can Know the torture of my soul.\u00a0 <\/span>But, O Holy Obedience, what a Powerful Bond you are!\u00a0 <\/span>You alone could conquer me, and overcoming all my repugnances, almost impassable mountains, you bind me to the Will of God and of the confessor.\u00a0 <\/span>But, please! O! Holy Spouse, as great as my sacrifice is, so much help do I need; I want nothing but for You to hold me in Your Arms and sustain me.\u00a0 <\/span>In this way, assisted by You, I shall be able to say only the Truth, only for Your Glory, and to my confusion.<\/p>\n

This morning, as the confessor celebrated Mass, I also received Communion.\u00a0 <\/span>My mind was in a sea of confusion because of these Obediences that are given to me by the confessor, to write everything that passes in my interior.\u00a0 <\/span>As soon as I received Jesus, I began to tell Him of my pains, especially my insufficiency, and many other things.\u00a0 <\/span>But Jesus seemed not to care about this thing of mine, and did not answer to anything.\u00a0 <\/span>A Light came to my mind, and I said:\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWho knows whether I myself am the cause for which Jesus is not showing Himself according to His usual way.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>So, with all my heart, I said to Him:\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cO please! my Good and my All, don\u2019t show Yourself so indifferent with me \u2013 You make my heart split with pain.\u00a0 <\/span>If it is because of the writing \u2013 let it be, let it be, even if it cost me the sacrifice of my life, I promise I shall do it!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Then Jesus changed Appearance and, all Benign, He told me:\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWhat do you fear?\u00a0 <\/span>Have I not assisted you the other times?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong> <\/span>My Light shall surround you everywhere, and so you shall be able to Manifest it.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0*Two months after Luisa started writing, her Confessor, Fr. Gennaro Di Gennaro, asked her to write what had happenedin her early life. Thus \u201cVolume Two\u201d, that starts on February 28, 1899, was written first, but \u201cVolume One\u201d, though written a few months later, is the \u201cfirst\u201d book and a real spiritual autobiography of Luisa from the age of about 9 years.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
