Our Lady of America Newsletter, May 30, 2013
We invite you to join in a Novena beginning on May 31, 2013, the annual Feast of The Visitation of The Blessed Virgin Mary (and traditional feast of The Queenship of The Blessed Virgin Mary) and ending with prayer on Saturday, June 8, 2013, the annual moveable Feast of The Immaculate Heart of Mary. In this novena, we intend to pray, in addition to Holy Mass each day, in the presence of The Most Blessed Sacrament, either exposed in a monstrance or pyx, or reserved in a tabernacle or ciborium.
We hope to facilitate the chastity and miracles promised by Our Lady through praying The Most Holy Rosary [even twenty (20) decades each day] that those promoting this wonderful devotion to Our Lady of America, including United States bishops and priests, will come to see a clear path and have the aid of many miracles in expediting the bishops’ solemn procession into the Basilica of the National Shrine of The Immaculate Conception.
We pray that the bishops will quickly carry that statue of Our Lady of America blessed at the meeting of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops in 2006 into the Basilica. We pray that Our Lady of America remain there in Her basilica and that any real or supposed barriers or impediments to this procession and permanent placement of Her statue be eliminated forthwith.
Please also pray for chastity according to the state in life of each person and this aspiration given by Our Lady of America: “By Your Holy and Immaculate Conception, O Mary, Deliver Us From Evil.”
