The book about the life of Luisa Piccarreta, which introduces the reader to a first acquaintance of the divine message entrusted to her, receives approval even from Church authorities

Behind her ordinary, simple life, made of a few daily acts, as working and praying, an extraordinary scene opens, a mystical life, full of deep spirituality that only Luisa  and the priests who were at her side knew

“The seas” of the Divine Will to which Luisa refers in her writings are not yet known. God has his own time and He alone knows when His Kingdom will reach its fulfillment. We need to pray that this happens, spreading those that are our knowledges, after “studying” to be faithful to the message left by the Servant of God in communion with the Church.

With Luisa at our side we are sure to take the right steps. Her mission, in addition to that of “victim soul”, is to bring to everyone the gift of the Divine Will that God made her to experience at first hand to testimony “living as a son and not as a servant.”

Now, it’s time that also others receive this Gift!

Already in October 2005, at the conclusion  of the Diocesan inquiry, our Archbishop Mons. Giovanni Battista Pichierri had “felt the need to elaborate a biographical sketch  of the Mystic from Corato, which has been achieved in 2014 with the first official publication of the biography “The Sun of my Will” by Prof. Maria Rosaria Del Genio (LEV). Through a conscientious work of research and study Prof.Del Genio, an expert on mystique and the lives of saints, gave birth to the above – mentioned volume, a valuable “document” offering, anyone reads it, the opportunity to know the life and therefore the spirituality of Luisa Piccarreta, so that “the message of the Divine Will may radiate throughout the world … fiat voluntas tua sicut in caelo et in terra, as claimed by Mons. Pichierri in his afterword to the text.

He himself wanted to share this “extraordinary message ” with the bishops from Puglia and the prelates interested in the Cause for beatification of the little daughter of the Divine Will, gifting them with the book. Many responses and opinions about it came to Mons. Pichierri that he faithfully turned to the Association Little Children of the Divine Will.

Biographical notes

Father Bernardino Giuseppe Bucci was born in Corato, on June 15, 1935. In 1955, he entered the Holy Novitiate of the Capuchin Friars of Alessano, in the province of Lecce, and completed his philosophical studies in the city of Scorrano. On March 14, 1964, in the Capuchin Church of Triggiano, he was ordained a priest by His Excellency Mgr Nicodemo, Archbishop of Bari.  He was sent to Rome to the International College to specialize in Missionary Theology. When he returned, he was assigned to the Convent of Scorrano, as spiritual Father of the Seraphic Seminary.  He attended the Licentiate and Doctorate Course at the Ecumenical Faculty of St. Nicholas in Bari; at the same time, in 1972, he qualified in literatures.

Father Bernardino  was the nephew of Rosaria Bucci (1898-1978) who was a disciple of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta. He collaborated with Sister Assunta Marigliano in the birth of the Association in Corato and for many years he was its Spiritual Assistant.  He strongly promoted the opening of the Diocesan Inquiry into the life, virtue and reputation for holiness of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta (1994-2005) and became a member of the Tribunal as Promoter of the Faith. He always kept alive the memory of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta and her writings.

St. Anthony of Padua is a Doctor of the Church known for his miracles and being one of the greatest preachers of all times.  He is known as the “Hammer of the Heretics,” “Living Ark of the Covenant,” and “Wonder Worker.”  He is Patron of the Poor.  In art he is depicted holding the Christ Child.  He is widely invoked for the return of lost articles.

St. Anthony of Padua also assisted St. Annibale di Francia in his life’s mission:   “Even though there was no center of those devoted to St. Anthony in those days, aid for the orphans and the poor were increasing, owing to the devotion to St. Anthony’s bread, to the press, to the alms boxes, and to the devotion to the saint in the church of the Annunciation.  Hence the padre felt inspired to make St. Anthony the special patron of this orphanages.  Our founder was urged to do so by his helper Fr. Bernardo of the Friars Minor.” (Rogationists)

It seems no accident that this great Saint was placed in charge of and protection of St. Annibale Di Francia’s Orphanages and Religious Institutions.  Luisa also lived 10 years in the Orphanage of St. Anthony in Corato. These two saints are also important to Luisa’s cause because of the necessity of St. Annibale di Francia as “an anticipator and precursor of the modern pastoral care of vocations” (St. Pope John Paul II) and St. Anthony’s help to return man’s greatest loss—that of the Holy Divine Will.

On June 11, 2010 the First Theologian gave full approval for the Writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta.  The Second Theologian assigned to evaluate the Writings of Luisa Piccarreta by the Vatican Congregation for the Causes of the Saints has also given a Positive, that is, a Favorable Judgement. This means that both of the Official Censors Librorum for the Cause of Luisa have found nothing contrary to the Faith in her Writings, and her Cause can now go forward.
